Le Grand Luce

Le Grand Luce is a town with character. Grouped around the magnificent chateau, whose formal gardens and kitchen gardens only, are open to the public.

This town boasts an indoor swimming pool, open Monday to Friday 2- 5.30pm in school holiday time. Also tennis courts, both indoor and outdoor available at a small charge.

There is also a dairy here which encourages visits and sells cheese, yogurt etc. By appointment visitors can help with milking on Tuesday evenings.

Approximately twenty minutes past Le Grand Luce is a fabulous zoo.

 

Domaine Zoologique Pescheray is reasonably priced and set in a wooded nature reserve of 90 hectares. You can see a range of wild animals including; wolves, lynx, wallabies and bears as well as more domestic; goats, sheep and deer, which you are able to feed. You can also enjoy a ride through the wild deer park by tractor trailer, there are small play areas situated around the site as well as plenty of picnic areas and a restaurant.
